Debra Hall

Debra Hall

Debra Hall has 40 years of experience as an international corporate, regulatory and technology attorney. She co-founded and has been co-owner of a technology company which holds a U.S. registered patent in the field of artificial intelligence.

Debra has been an advocate for high-speed broadband and, as president of two homeowners’ associations has brought fiber optic to 541 homes in Naples, FL. As a member of the Rockport Technology Ad Hoc Working Group, and later as an elected member and chair of the Rockport Select Board, Debra has expanded high-speed internet throughout Rockport and the mid-coast region.

As the chair of the Mid-Coast Broadband Coalition, consisting of Camden, Rockport, Hope, Lincolnville and Northport (and additional communities in the near future), Debra is leading a coordinated effort of select board members, technology consultants and community members focused on expanding educational and economic opportunities, making tele-health available to seniors, attracting young families, and creating opportunities for a vibrant work force in the mid-coast region through 21st century telecommunications.

Debra believes that access to high-speed internet is an essential driver of today’s economy and social fabric. Its availability should no longer be left to decisions by corporate monopolies. Instead, we need to pursue smart, efficient, financially viable and creative means to ensure the availability of high-speed internet throughout the mid-coast region.
